Once your child begins elementary school, there's no end to the learning and growing that occurs each day. This NAA accredited program serves children, kindergarten through 5th grade, on-site, year round at Cipriani School. Our summer camp program, offering field trips, special events and discovery and exploration activities, is a great way to keep your child challenged and engaged!

Cipriani Youth Council
The youth council is a group of 4th and 5th graders that have joined together to help improve upon our site to better meet the children's interests. The youth council members work with the site's director, Stephen Finn, to help come up with the Special Wednesdays themes, fundraising ideas and activities and games that interest them. The youth council members have a sense of pride and ownership in their after-school program.

Staff

Stephen Finn — Site Director
Stephen Finn has been a child care professional for more than ten years. Stephen started his child care career as an Infant/Toddler Teacher Aide during college and then was a teacher for Kindercare Corp. for three years. In May of 2000, while attending Chico State, Stephen started working at Cipriani After-School Care, Inc. for summer employment as the Assistant Director of the Nesbit Club Puma Summer Camp. He worked for the next two summers at the RAMS summer camp, the first year as the Assistant Director and the next year as the co-Director. In the fall of 2002, after graduating from Chico State, he began working at Club Central as the Site Director. In the summer of 2004, he took over as Site Director at the Cipriani site.

Stephen holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Canada College and in Social Sciences from Sacramento City College and a Bachelor's of Science in Recreation Administration from California State University, Chico. Stephen currently holds a Program Director Child Development Permit through the state of California. He continues to attend Early Childhood Education workshops and trainings to become more knowledgeable so he may better serve the children and families in our program.

The goals for my center are to continue providing a high quality, fun and safe child care center for our children and families in our community. To reach this goal, we will continue providing an enriched environment and curriculum. This will allow the children to thrive through a variety of "play" experiences to meet their development needs".
